Anne Arundel Medical Center Selects VTOC for Patient Reported Outcomes and ICHOM Standard Sets
March 09, 2016 - San Diego, CA
VisionTree®, a leader in cloud-based, patient reported outcomes, patient engagement, population health and multi-center research/registry solutions, is pleased to announce that the VisionTree Optimal Care™ (VTOC) platform was selected for use by Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC).
Based on International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement(ICHOM)'s Standard Sets (http://ichom.org), care providers are able to use clinician and patient-reported outcomes to evaluate the quality of care and develop care plans and treatment pathways. These standardized outcomes data can be used for global sharing of bench-marking information. Care providers worldwide can then learn from each other and improve care protocols on a population health level. VTOC will be used at AAMC's Geaton and Joann DeCesaris Cancer Institute for prostate and lung outcomes standard sets to start with the capability to deliver ICHOM sets for many additional medical conditions including low back pain, coronary artery disease, stroke and others.
"This platform enriches our ability to deliver advanced, quality care with a patient-centered approach in every aspect of the care and treatment experience. As a certified ICHOM vendor, VisionTree will provide us with the ability to begin effectively tracking prostate and lung outcomes standard sets and expand to other medical conditions, and enhance our workflow for high patient engagement and compliance."Cathy Copertino, Executive Director, AAMC's DeCesaris Cancer Institute
Implemented at 400+ oncology programs and 600+ sites globally, including 8 of the top 10 U.S. News and World Report Hospitals, with 2.5M+ patients, the VTOC platform provides a seamless solution for longitudinal, electronic patient reported outcomes (ePROMs) data collection, as well as a Meaningful Use Certified patient portal. VTOC delivers automated reporting of this electronic quality of life data at specified timepoints as actionable data, as well as reporting to multi-institutional research and registry initiatives, including export to the Medidata Rave®, the database for NCI's National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN).
"We are excited to be working with the cancer team at AAMC. They have developed a leading-edge institution we are proud to be a part of it. VTOC is also used by leading institutions nationally and globally for longitudinal quality of life data collection, quality reporting, as well as participation in multi-center research studies and registries. We are looking forward to continue providing patient-centered outcomes, integrated care and research solutions for the rapidly evolving value-based healthcare ecosystem, cancer survivorship and population health data management."Martin Pellinat, CEO & Founder of VisionTree Software, Inc.
With over a decade in clinical use, VTOC has documented improvements in patient care and the clinical workflow; including up to 20% reduction in non-urgent phone calls, up to 30% improvement in missed appointments, over 30% increased patient satisfaction, and over 40% improved compliance for capturing longitudinal PROMs. VTOC helps providers in delivering risk-adjusted outcomes data, on an individual patient or an aggregate level, for an optimized delivery of quality and efficiency in on-going patient care.
