The following VTOC EHR modules received 2011/2012 certification, in addition to the 170.302 o-w for Foundational Security & Privacy and 170.304.i for Exchange of Clinical Information and Patient Summary Record (CCR/CCD) received in 2011 with certificate ##04072011-1140-8, Visiontree has received the certification for these modules in total with certificate ##07262012-1141-6.
The additional modules recently certified, bring the total VTOC certified modules to thirteen (13) core & menu measures, as follows:
The VTOC patient portal has pioneered and remained a leader in longitudinal patient reported outcomes data collection and management for multi-center and population health research. Over the last several years, the VTOC roles/rules-based clinical/care/team/patient portal platform/app has provided a valuable, user-friendly, easy-to-access cloud based solution for managing all aspects of the paperless workflow, while still being connected to legacy EMR, HIS, Labs or PACS systems. VTOC's partner program and its suite of APIs, has provided solutions for filling in the technology gaps with modules that meet interoperability standards, and now make an automated workflow for delivering the CCD/CCR and providing relevant patient reminders/education, as well as community connectivity for HIEs and ACOs a possibility that can be quickly and easily achieved.
"Our institution, the University of Florida Proton Therapy Institute (UFPTI), uses VTOC as its patient and clinical portal solution with excellent results. It allows our patients and medical staff to complete forms at specific timepoints and communicate on cloud, while remaining securely connected to our hospital systems, for operational efficiency. Features like connectivity to our legacy-based RT-ERM system, data auto-completion for single-entry across all forms and auto-delivery of Continuity of Care Documents (CCD) to patients and referring physicians enhance efficiency, accuracy and compliance. VTOC is an integral part of our ability to meet Meaningful Use requirements and enhances our delivery of patient-centered care."
The VTOC 360™ approach allows providers to configure their modular VTOC portal system or use VTOC APIs with their legacy systems to fill in the gaps of core components of a paperless, patient management workflow including these features: eRegister Intake Module, Care Plan Templates, Secure 2-way Messaging, Document Management, Image Upload & Sharing (Patient/Provider/Care Team), Quality Workflow Manager, eReferral Network, ePrescribing, Bill Payment, Dynamic Reporting and Multi-Site Research/Population Health Data Management.
VTOC makes it easy for providers and patients to communicate securely on the cloud and exchange clinical data relevant to their care", said Martin Pellinat, CEO of Visiontree Software. "We are honored to be certified for the clinical data exchange module and believe this certification will help hospitals achieve their Meaningful Use objectives. We also see this is a key component to building patient-level participation in population health and national registry programs."
"We are seeing a rapid increase in patient and provider utilization of VTOC, realizing the many benefits of a completely paperless documentation and communication workflow. Visiontree is proud to have attained this milestone, and will pursue certification of additional ONC criteria this year. "These certifications are an important step in VTOC's strategic initiative to provide a modular, lightweight SaaS solution that fills in the technology gaps for patient-centered communication, data exchange, research programs and population health registry participation on a community and national level."
The VTOC patient portal integrates with any EHR, Lab Management or Scheduling System using standard HL7 interfaces, or the option of web-service APIs. Over the last nine (9) years in clinical use, VTOC has documented realizable, clinical workflow improvements including up to 30% improvement in missed appointments, up to 20% reduction in non-urgent phone calls, 30%+ increased patient satisfaction and 40%+ improved compliance for capturing longitudinal, patient reported outcomes data. VTOC installed and used in more than 200 sites nationally and globally with over 1MM patients on the VTOC platform/app.
About ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification
The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that EHR technology is capable of meeting the 2011/2012 criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). The certifications include Complete EHRs, which meet all of the 2011/2012 criteria for either eligible provider or hospital technology and EHR Modules, which meet one or more - but not all - of the criteria. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. ONC-ATCB certification aligns with Health Information Technology: Initial Set of Standards, Implementation Specifications, and Certification Criteria for Electronic Health Record Technology published in the Federal Register in July 2010 and strictly adheres to the test procedures published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) at the time of testing.
